What a trial includes
A ShelterSync free trial is your own organization on our production service, set up for you by the Zoolytix team after you send a request from mysheltersync.com. It is not a shared demo: nobody else can see it, and everything you do in it is yours.
What you get
- A complete sample shelter to explore — animals, activity history, surveys and assessments, a foster placement — so every screen has something on it from the first sign-in.
- Sample team accounts for the staff and volunteer views, sent once in your welcome email.
- Every feature of the admin portal and the mobile app, exactly as customers use them. Nothing that makes the product look better than it is has been added; nothing that makes it look worse has been removed.
- 14 days, with a reminder three days before the end. If you need longer, reply to any of our emails and we will extend it.
What is held back until you convert
A trial is a real organization held by people who are not yet customers, so a few things that cost money, reach outside ShelterSync, or would outlive the trial are switched off. Each refusal in the product says which limit you met and that converting lifts it.

| 2 GB of photos and files | Storage is the one cost that grows with what is uploaded. The sample shelter's photos are well inside it. |
| Up to five people, including you | Enough for a director, a volunteer coordinator, two volunteers and a spare — how a shelter actually evaluates. The sample accounts do not count. |
When the trial ends
Sign-in is switched off. Nothing is deleted: everything you set up is still there, and converting to a subscription switches it straight back on with the limits lifted. Reply to the end-of-trial email to convert, or to ask for more time.
Paid pilots
A paid pilot runs on your own data: a clean organization, white-glove migration by the Zoolytix team, training and support for your staff and volunteers, and none of the limits above. It runs for 30 days and then, like a trial, is switched off until it converts to a subscription.
Your details
The request form records your name, contact details, your organization and what you told us, and your acknowledgement of the privacy policy (by version). A request that does not become a trial is deleted 12 months after its last change; ask us at privacy@zoolytix.com to delete it sooner.
